You Have a Superpower!

The title of this blog is the title of one of the guided meditations I created for vocalists and other humans. Yes, this is a different superpower than the one I wrote about in the Curiosity blog. This one is about your ability to choose your thoughts. And more specifically, your ability to notice your thoughts and choose which thoughts you focus on. Ultimately, and with practice, this means you have much greater control over your nervous system, your overall state of mind & being, and how you move through your day, or onstage, or on the world’s stage.

Meditation in a variety of forms has changed my life exponentially. Because of this, and because the nature of my work has led me to become a student of the mind, I’ve become pretty much obsessed with how we think. And how we change how we think. And how that changes our lives, not to mention our singing, our performing, and our creating.

A number of years ago I started making guided meditations for vocalists, and you can access most of them on my website and on the wonderful, free meditation app Insight Timer.
